Product Description We're sure you'll agree, the flavor and texture of boxed pasta pales in comparison to fresh homemade pasta. But who has the time and energy for cranking dough through a manual machine? Fortunately that workhorse of the kitchen, your KitchenAid stand mixer is happy to do the work with this attachment. Make egg noodles, lasagna, tortellini, fettuccine, and angel hair pasta. Add herbs and seasonings to compliment any recipe.
Amazon.com Review If you have a passion for perfectly prepared pasta, try making your own delectable lasagna noodles, fettuccine, or linguine fini with this pasta roller set that fits all KitchenAid stand mixers. The three attachments include a pasta roller, a fettuccine cutter, and a linguine fini cutter. Just prepare pasta dough and form it into small rectangles which are then fed into one of the attachments. Out come uniform lasagna noodles, fettuccine, linguine, or angel hair pasta. The pasta can be enjoyed fresh or frozen or dried for later. Complete directions, cooking tips, and recipes are included, though cleaning the attachments can be a bit of a challenge, as they can't be washed in water, and any dried-on pasta particles must be removed with the included cleaning brush and toothpicks. --Marcie Bovetz

It works March 8, 2010 M. Wuori (MN) I wish it were maybe a little bit wider, to make a wider batch, but it does a great job anyways.
Rock 'n roll with fresh pasta! March 6, 2010 D. A. Evans (Gloucester, Virginia) If you've ever dreamed of fresh pasta on tap this is the closest you will get in your own kitchen lacking an Italian grandmother!
Making pasta dough is a breeze if planned ahead. Make dough and refrigerate. I snapped the appropriate attachment (easily identified) into the Kitchenaid drive point, followed the clear instructions and my first sheets of dough came smoothly through the rollers. A quick change of roller/cutter and the perfect fettucine strips emerged. Voila! the dough was ready to pop into the boiling water. It is a clever, but simple tool.

Great Gadgets March 5, 2010 Carolyn Drum (SACRAMENTO, CA United States) I have had the Italian hand crank version of this for years and found it easy to use, however, since I have the Kitchenaid stand mixer, why not make things easier? Wow!. Much easier. I have developed a recipe for a single serving of pasta that works like a charm, so there were no starts and stops using my new gadget. First, attaching the pasta maker is easy, although you do need to make sure it is aligned properly with the mixer. The first gadget forms the pasta sheets just as well as the hand model only way faster. The attachments that cut the pasta work well and I don't need 3 hands to crank, feed and pull the pasta off the machine. One warning and Kitchenaid specifically addresses this in the owner's manual. I, of course, ignored it. Do not clean the machine with the little brush they supply while it is running. The pasta cutter will snatch that little sucker right out of your hand and you will never, ever get it out. After making this mistake myself, I called Kitchenaid and asked if they could fix it and that I had made this foolish mistake one day after buying the items. They said they couldn't fix it,but would send me out a new one at no charge. Am I a Kitchenaid fan for life? You bet! That is world class customer service.
Easy from the start March 4, 2010 Rebecca J. Cecil (canton, oh, US) Love all things Kitchen Aid because they are easy to use right out of the box. This makes my dough perfect for pierogies, empenada's, ravioli's, and of course noodles. Can't make the job easier if you tried.
Awesome performance March 4, 2010 uptown (chico,ca) I used the roller and spaghetti cutter for the first time. It performed perfectly!!!!Even though I was unable to press the dough to a fairly workable thickness, it didn't matter to the roller. It gobbled it up and I just had to run it through an extra time. Changing the thickness was so easy and the dough remained intact and very pliable. The spaghetti cutter worked beautifully. I made some angel hair, then made some regular spaghetti. The best for last. After cooking for only four minutes, the pasta's texture and flavor was unmatched. Getting the consistency of the dough was a little tricky, but THIS WAS MY FIRST TIME using this product. I never imagined that pasta could taste like this.Plus, it's fun too!!!
